摘要：The present invention provides a cylindrical rake for use in raking apparatus,which cylindrical rake comprises first and second end members spaced apart from oneanother along the axis of the cylindrical rake, a plurality of circumferentially spacedelongate tine-carrying members (70) which extend between and are carried by first andsecond end members mounting means for mounting the rake on a suitable carriagetherefor, and driven means adapted to be driven for rotating the rake about its axis inuse; which tine-carrying members carry a plurality of tine elements (80) thereon;
characterised in that each tine element is constituted by a length of wire which is formedinto two spaced coils (84), a respective neighbouring two of the tine-carrying membersbeing inserted one each through the two coils for carrying the tine element on the tworespective tine-carrying members (70), and each tine element has at least one free end(86, 87) of the wire which extends outwardly of the cylindrical rake for engaging theground in service. The invention also provides a raking apparatus comprising such acylindrical rake, carriage means adapted for translational movement over the ground androtating means for rotating the cylindrical rake.
