摘要：An extruder is controlled in response to the thickness measurement of theextruded strand. The thickness measuring head is initially given a displacement transverseto the extrusion direction, preferably around the extruded strand and the output signalsfrom the head are integrated to form a mean value around the periphery. A comparisonof this mean value with the set point wall thickness value is then utilized to providecontinuous correction of the output of the head which is utilized to regulate the extruderoperation.
