in the 1980’ s， all shops were state-owned with marked prices。 you couldn’t buy what you wanted with even one cent short， so one cent could indeed embarrass a hero。 a popular song at that time started “i picked up one cent at the roadside， and i handed it over to the policeman…” but now no one cares to pick it up even if it were ten cents。

of all ages and in every country， all kinds of corruption stem from money。 no matter how rough the man is， and in what despicable way he earned the money， he can grease the palms of or buy over some very decent officials or even intellectuals。 can you see how crucial a role money is playing? some people or organizations like some religious groups claim that they have seen through the human vanity and can take money lightly， but to people’s puzzlement， they are also accumulating money， either to renovate the temples， or to regild buddha’s statues， in whatever pretexts。 they are not engaged in production， so they can only depend on the donations from the devout believers。 sometimes your sincerity relies on whether you donate and how much you donate。 do the monks care about money? the answer is affirmative。 what’s more， many monks are already provided with a salary。

It is said that the custom of Spring Festival started in when people offered sacrifice to ancestors in the last month of Chinese lunar calendar. At that time, people prepared the sacrifice by doing thorough cleaning, having bathes and so on. Later, people began to worship different deities as well on that day. It is the time that almost all the farm works were done and people have free time. The sacrificing time changed according to the farming schedule and was not fixed until the Han Dynasty (202BC-220AD). The customs of worshipping deities and ancestors remains even though the ceremonies are not as grand as before. It is also the time that spring is coming, so people held all kinds of ceremonies to welcome it.
There are many legends about Spring Festival in Chinese culture. In folk culture, it is also called “guonian” (meaning “passing a year”). It is said that the “nian” (year) was a strong monster which was fierce and cruel and ate one kind of animal including human being a day. Human beings were scared about it and had to hide on the evening when the “nian” came out. Later, people found that “nian” was very scared about the red color and fireworks. So after that, people use red color and fireworks or firecrackers to drive away “nian”. As a result, the custom of using red color and setting off fireworks remains.
Preparing the New Year starts 7 days before the New Year’s Eve. According to Chinese lunar calendar, people start to clean the house on Dec. 24, butcher on Dec. 26th and so on. People have certain things to do on each day. These activities will end Jan. 15th of the lunar calendar.

Everyone have a dream, and is very good, I am no exception. I have a little dream, when I succeed at the goal, to accomplish more dreams. Beginning, I was a baby, a thought become very strong, like the children in the shaolin temple, martial arts high strength. But I think to leave my parents to far away places to practice martial arts, hard work, a little loathe to give up. During my childhood, I have a dream, I hope I have the money. Adults asked: "little girl, with money you are going to do?" "I'm going to buy bubble gum" "if you have a lot of money?" "I'm going to buy a lot of bubble gum" "if you have money to burn?" "I'll do buy bubblegum factory." Innocent childhood we, indeed, have a kind heart, happiness and happiness is a the same piece of music.

In China, almost every family has TV set in their house. Television has made great contribution to people’s daily lives and children’s education. Some people even think that television is one of the greatest inventions in the world.
But there is a good side and a bad side to everything and that includes the television.
On one hand, TV is a powerful educational tool that through it people know what is happening in the rest of the world. Because of television, people begin to understand different cultures and current affairs.
They know about the things they never knew before, they create their own opinions and form their sense of worth. The TV opens a brand-new door for them to explore the things they want to know. Many people may go traveling due to watch the beautiful scenes in TV.
On the other hand, some people may find them addicted to television, especially the young people.
They spend most of their free time watching TV programs instead of playing outside with their peers.
In this case, the children may lack of the ability of communicate effectively with others.
TV makes them isolated. What’ more, sometimes the TV programs may contain se-xual scenes or bloody scenes that not suitable for children to watch.
This will cause negative effects on them.
To sum up, I think television has both advantages and disadvantages, people should find a balance between it. Make the most use of it, don’t be the salves of it.
